On July 14th, the "Joining Hands with Zhejiang Businesses to Go Global" – Industrial Docking Event at China Cooperation Center of BRICS Special Economic Zones was held in Qiantang District, Hangzhou. The event was hosted by Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, supported by Hangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce and Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, and undertaken by United Front Work Department of Qiantang District Committee, Qiantang District Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics Zheshang Capital Market Research Institute, Qiantang District Bureau of Commerce, Qiantang District Jianghai City Construction Management Office, Qiantang District Construction Investment Group, Zhejiang-Africa Service Center, and Qiantang District Contemporary Internationalization Research Center.
Lin Jianliang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of Zhejiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, delivered a speech. Zheng Yali, Vice President of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, Zhou Hua, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Chairman of Hangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhou Weidong, Member of the Standing Committee of Qiantang District Committee and Director of United Front Work Department, Li Jun, Deputy Director of Qiantang New Area Management Committee and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the District Government, and other guests attended the event.
More than 100 participants attended, including responsible persons from relevant departments of provincial, municipal, district levels and Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, representatives from foreign embassies in China, chambers of commerce, international students, and enterprises that have expanded into BRICS countries.
As a cross-border e-commerce service enterprise in the industrial belt, "Haizhi Collection · Haiyan Intelligent Integrated Home Furnishing Cross-Border E-Commerce Public Service Platform" was invited to participate in this docking event and introduced the advantages of Haiyan industrial belt and platform development to the guests present.
On October 24, 2024, President Xi Jinping announced at the 16th BRICS Summit that China would establish the BRICS Deep-Sea Resources International Research Center, the China Cooperation Center for BRICS Special Economic Zones, the China Center for BRICS Industrial Capabilities, and the BRICS Digital Industry Ecology Cooperation Network. On March 21, 2025, the China Cooperation Center for BRICS Special Economic Zones (hereinafter referred to as the "China Cooperation Center") was officially inaugurated and established in Qiantang (New) District, Hangzhou. This is the first platform mechanism announced personally by President Xi Jinping in the field of BRICS economic and trade cooperation, and it has become an important window for promoting the innovation of international economic and trade rules and the coordinated development of industries.
Against the backdrop of complex and changing international economic situation, accelerated restructuring of global industrial chains, and significantly rising uncertainties in the international market, foreign trade export has always been an important pillar of Zhejiang's economy as a major province with private economy. Under the new situation, how Haiyan's intelligent integrated home furnishing industrial belt can "embrace the big BRICS" to set sail for overseas markets and better "go global" to integrate into the wave of high-quality development of the international economy has become a new direction explored by entrepreneurs in the industrial belt.
As one of the selected projects for Zhejiang's high-quality development of cross-border e-commerce in 2025, the "Haizhi Collection · Haiyan Intelligent Integrated Home Furnishing Cross-Border E-Commerce Platform" has always been committed to exploring the development direction of cross-border e-commerce together with enterprises in the industrial belt. At present, the platform has cooperated with more than 20 enterprises in the industrial belt, with a total of over 3,000 products listed, covering ten major product categories such as building materials, lighting fixtures, whole-house intelligence, storage collections, and decorative artworks. It also carries out traffic promotion and key market development activities focusing on the Belt and Road Initiative and BRICS countries.
The "Joining Hands with Zhejiang Businesses to Go Global" – Industrial Docking Event at China Cooperation Center of BRICS Special Economic Zones is not only an industrial docking activity but also a collective brainstorming session for analyzing the BRICS market. At the event site, relevant departments, institutions, and enterprises conducted interactive exchanges on cross-border finance, trade barriers, talent support, industrial projects, and other aspects. Participants also visited the exhibition hall of the China Cooperation Center of BRICS Special Economic Zones and the urban exhibition hall of Jianghai City.
